Sometimes CNC is not the most efficient way to get the Job done! As with all machining strategies the feeds and speeds are of utmost importance. Whether on a CNC or on manual mill – the speeds have got to be right.
Shown here is a jig (fabricated in house) designed to guide the drill bit at the appropriate angle, while being indexed on the 4th axis fixture.
No workshop is complete without a conventional lathe. Probably the most useful pieces of kit to have in a workshop! Shown here in the video is the finishing taper being machined onto the large pulley for a custom 4th axis mechanism for one of the CNC routers.
